Our Practitioners

Meet the practitioners at Kula Studio in Kingston, working in The Studio & The Cocoon space above the main studio. The Cocoon space is offered outside of class times, providing a quiet calm place to relax, rejuvenate and come back home to yourself.

Helen - Sound Healing

Helen was drawn to Sound Healing through her experiences teaching Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra. She wanted to offer clients more ways to experience nervous system regulation without the need for a movement practice as she could see how needed this was. She saw how people really relaxed, regulated and restored in a short Yoga Nidra (a spoken meditation) session and the benefits to their sleep. She was intrigued to see if she could get past her own hearing difficulties to play the bowls and percussion guided by the vibratons. She fell in love with the calming vibrations and intentional atmosphere created by the sounds of gong, Himalayan bowls, crystal bowls & other percussion instruments. Creating vibrational sound scapes helps people calm their racing minds, let go of held stresses and process emotional and mental trauma in life. A one to one Sound Healing experience is a more personal and intense way to experience the sound with bowls surrounding you in our gorgeous upstairs treatment area the cocoon.

Anna - Massage

From pure relaxation and stress relief to targeted sports and recovery massage, our treatments are tailored to suit your body, lifestyle and individual needs. Whether you’re looking to switch off, release everyday tension, ease tight and tired muscles, improve mobility or support your training and recovery, each massage is adapted to you. Treatments can range from gentle, flowing relaxation massage through to deeper, more targeted techniques for areas of muscular tension and sports-related tightness. Massage is suitable for anyone — from those simply wanting some well-deserved time to relax, to active individuals and athletes looking to maintain their body, recover effectively and keep moving at their best.

Katy - Reiki - Somatic Healing

Katy is a Qigong and yoga instructor, Reiki and somatic practitioner, whose work is rooted in the connection between the body, nervous system and our emotional wellbeing. Her own journey through grief and healing led her away from a decade-long corporate career and into this work, shaping the way she now holds space for others. Her classes are warm, grounding and accessible, blending traditional Qigong with breath, somatic awareness and a trauma-informed understanding of the nervous system. At the heart of her teaching is a simple intention: to help people step out of the constant doing, slow down and come back to themselves. Alongside teaching, Katy offers one-to-one Reiki and deeper somatic healing sessions, creating space for rest, reconnection and gently exploring what the body may have been holding onto.
